A 3-day Arbovirus workshop organised in collaboration with PREPARE WP3, 7 and 9 and ESCMID were held successfully in Thessaloniki, Greece on 7-9 March.

The workshop was attended by 41 participants and faculty from 22 European countries and a wide range of organisations. The workshop which consisted of a mix of presentations and interactive sessions, covered an overview of Arboviruses of importance to Europe, including identification, differential diagnosis, management, vector control, surveillance, vaccine developments and a European outbreak response exercise. The workshop went well with 100% of participants rating it good (24%)  to excellent (76%). The venue, Hotel Makedonia Palace was also good and highly recommended to others for meetings and workshops.
